Former NFL defensive lineman Saousoalii “Junior” Siavii died Thursday in a Leavenworth prison, the Kansas City Star experiences. Siavii was 43.
The explanation for demise was not launched.
Siavii was transferred to the U.S. Penitentiary at Leavenworth, a medium-security prison, on Dec. 17. He was awaiting trial on federal prison prices associated to drug trafficking and unlawful firearm possession.
Siavii was arrested in August 2019 on suspicion of unlawful firearms possession throughout a battle with police in Kansas. A prison indictment later named Siavii as a part of a methamphetamine drug trafficking conspiracy in Missouri, and he and eight co-defendants had been charged.
The Chiefs chosen Siavii in the second spherical of the 2004 NFL draft. He performed two seasons with the group earlier than knee accidents pressured him out of soccer for 2 years. Siavii made a comeback with the Cowboys in 2009 and performed all 16 video games.
The Cowboys lower Siavii out of the preseason in 2010, and he signed with the Seahawks and performed 14 video games earlier than a spinal wire damage ended his profession.
