From broken hip to my first Paralympics

A lady who broke her hip whereas roller-skating on the age of 12, forcing her to abandon her dream of enjoying soccer, has mentioned she cried when she discovered she had a spot on the GB ladies’s wheelchair basketball staff on the Paralympics.

Lucy Robinson, 22, from Mountsorrel in Leicestershire, mentioned: “None of us anticipated it and I simply began crying.”

The main faculty trainer, who’s the youngest member of the staff, was recognized with avascular necrosis following her damage, that means the blood provide to the tip of her bones is disrupted.

She mentioned she needed to encourage different younger individuals to change their life by sport.
