Jazz Janewattananond hits bunker shot from knees — and posts video on social media showing he’d practiced it beforehand

But on Saturday on the Open, Thai golfer Jazz Janewattananond took that to a different stage.

On the par-three eleventh gap at Royal St. George’s, the 25-year-old hit his tee shot into the bunker to the left of the inexperienced.

His ball ended up too near the bunker wall for him to face in and swing to comfortably take his second shot, so he needed to improvise.

With his membership in his palms, Janewattananond perched above the bunker along with his ball a couple of ft beneath, swinging whereas on his knees.

Despite having to play from this unorthodox taking part in base, Janewattananond proved he was as much as the job as his shot completed just some ft from the flag.

The glorious strategy shot allowed him to get well to make a par and transfer onto the subsequent gap with out struggling an excessive amount of of a blow.

And simply hours after his third spherical completed, Janewattananond posted a video on his Instagram showing that he’d practiced that precise shot within the apply chipping space beforehand.

“Sometime you apply the proper shot on the proper time,” the world No. 144 mentioned.
