London Marathon 2021: Student runs with Essex bone marrow donor ‘who saved my life’

A scholar has stated will probably be “extremely emotional” to run the London Marathon with the bone marrow donor who saved her life 13 years in the past.

Vicky Lawrence, 21, had an autoimmune dysfunction when she was youthful and obtained a transplant from Elliott Brock, from Mersea Island in Essex.

“It’s loopy to assume… I’m about to embark on 26 miles of operating alongside the one that did save my life,” stated Ms Lawrence, who’s from Birmingham and is a medical scholar in Newcastle.

Mr Brock stated: “Hopefully, our superb again story we have got will clearly elevate the notice of what Anthony Nolan does but in addition encourage different individuals to affix the bone marrow register, that is simply as necessary actually.”
