Manchester music cafe brings joy to people with dementia

A music cafe helps people with dementia sing, play devices and even dance after coronavirus lockdowns.

Manchester Camerata is providing free music remedy workshops to people with dementia and their carers as a part of its Music in Mind initiative.

David Tollington, a french horn participant, stated some people collaborating don’t “bear in mind what they’ve had for breakfast however they bear in mind your complete lyrics to a tune”.

He stated it exhibits “the ability of music”.

Evidence exhibits music therapy can help people with dementia soothe their signs and enhance their high quality of life.
